Brooklyn Sitters is a two-person babysitting service. Not a marketplace, not an agency roster that rotates strangers through your living room. You book Becky or Shelly — that's who shows up. Between them, over a decade of childcare experience across Brooklyn, from South Brooklyn rowhouses to Brooklyn Heights brownstones to Williamsburg lofts.

We cover the full range of babysitting work families in Brooklyn actually need. Some weeks it's a date-night sitter for a dinner in Park Slope. Other weeks it's an after-school sitter who handles pickup, homework, dinner, and bath. For Israeli and bilingual households, Shelly runs Hebrew-speaking sessions. For infants, we run quiet, routine-based newborn-through-12-month coverage.

And when the schedule breaks — last-minute same-day bookings, late-night coverage up to 3 AM, New Year's Eve, twins, home events, Airbnb stays for visiting families — we've built a specialty page for each, because the actual logistics are different every time.

Everything below is the same hourly rate: $25/hr for one child, $28/hr for two, +$3/hr per additional. No weekend premium. No tutoring upcharge. A small travel surcharge applies for some neighborhoods — see your area page for the exact amount.
