Toddler Babysitters in Brooklyn

Toddlers want to DO things. Brooklyn Sitters shows up with a plan — an art project, a park outing if the weather's right, a meal that actually gets eaten, a bedtime routine that doesn't turn into a standoff. Becky and Shelly have been working with ones-through-fours for years: separation-anxiety Mondays, I-don't-wanna-nap Tuesdays, why-is-everything-Wheels-on-the-Bus Wednesdays. We come prepared, we stay patient, and we leave the house in better shape than we found it.

Why us

Why Brooklyn parents choose us for toddler care.

Activities, not screens

We bring a small kit — crayons, a book, a project — and follow your house rules on screens. Default is engaged play.

The nap happens

Tell us your routine, the stuffie that matters, the song that works. We execute. Naps run on time.

House is how you left it

Toys picked up, dishes done, snack wrappers in the bin. You come home to order, not cleanup duty.

What parents say

Kids ask for them by name.

So flexible, communicative, and amazing with children. It’s one thing to be a babysitter but when the kids WANT me to leave you know they’re doing a good job.

Liron Mordechai

The absolute best, very reliable, trustworthy, great with kids, even my more attached little ones eased to them pretty quickly which is so reassuring when you want a night out to relax!! Been babysitting my kids for years, and my friends kids. Love love love could not recommend more!!!

Common questions

Toddler Care FAQ.

What ages counts as toddler for you?

Roughly 1 through 4 years. The line between toddler and preschooler is fuzzy — we plan activities that match your kid's actual stage, not a strict age bracket.

Will you take my toddler to the park?

If the weather's good and you approve the plan, yes. Tell us which park, which gate to use, and any routes to avoid. We send a check-in text when we get there.

What if my toddler won't go down for a nap?

We follow your routine and give it a real try. If the nap doesn't happen, we do quiet play instead — no forcing, no battles. We tell you honestly how it went.

Can you handle potty training?

We follow your plan. Tell us where you are in the process — prompts every hour, accident protocol, favorite underwear, all of it. We don't introduce new methods mid-session.

How do you handle tantrums?

Calmly, without escalation. Your kid is going to have a meltdown about something eventually and it's fine. We don't shame or bribe; we just ride it out and tell you what set it off so you can piece it together.

Is the rate the same regardless of age?

Yes. $25/hr for one child, $28/hr for two, +$3/hr per additional. Toddler or ten-year-old, same rate.
