Thanksgiving Day · Brooklyn
You're hosting. Don't also referee the cousins.
Thanksgiving with kids in the house is a different operation than Thanksgiving without. The under-8 contingent has its own schedule and its own meltdowns and you're trying to get a twelve-pound bird out of the oven. We take the kids' table.

Hosting at home
Sitter arrives mid-afternoon with the cousins, takes the kids' table — separate room, kid-friendly food on earlier schedule, activities lined up. Adults eat the actual dinner without negotiation.
Going to family elsewhere
You're going to a relative's house, your kids don't want to. Sitter at home, kids stay home, you drive to Long Island and back. Saves the meltdown drive.
Black Friday morning
Sitter at 6am Friday, you sleep through the morning after. Easier to grab than Thanksgiving Day itself.
Lead time
Thanksgiving Day fills by early November. We hold a few slots for repeat families and book the rest first-come.
Pricing runs at a holiday premium — agreed in writing on confirmation. No mystery surcharges.
