For Brooklyn parents
A Care.com alternative that's actually local.
Care.com works for what it is: a national marketplace with millions of profiles you scroll through hoping for the best. For some families that's exactly the product they want. For the Brooklyn families who'd rather book a known person than scroll a catalog, that's us.
The structural difference
Marketplace vs two-named-faces. Side by side.

When Care.com is the right call
We're not for everyone, and that's on purpose.
If you need a sitter at 7am on a Tuesday and your usual one fell through — Care.com's volume can find someone in a pinch. We probably can't.
If your scheduling needs are wildly variable and you want to A/B test five sitters before committing — the marketplace UX is built exactly for that.
If you want a teenage sitter for $15/hr because the kids are old enough that you just need warm-body supervision — that's a marketplace play. We're a different product.
When we're the better call
- ·You want the same person every Saturday for the next year
- ·You're booking date nights regularly and tired of the message-three-sitters dance
- ·Your kids are young enough that "new face every time" is a real cost
- ·You'd rather call a number than open an app
- ·You want the bedtime routine to actually run the same way the third time
