Solo for the week. Backup, every night.
When one parent travels for work, the math at home gets brutal. Pickup, dinner, bath, bedtime — and then the quarterly review at 9 AM. The week goes better with the same sitter showing up every evening, same routine, same face.
The standard trip-week shape
- · Same sitter (Becky or Shelly) every evening of the trip
- · 3 to 5 weekday evenings, 4-hour blocks each
- · Sitter handles dinner, bath, bedtime — you handle work
- · Same hourly rate, no multi-day premium
- · If you need a day off the trip mid-week, we adjust
Why one sitter the whole trip
The kids' dad or mom just left for the airport. They don't need a different stranger walking in for each of the four evenings. They need one face for the whole week — by Tuesday she knows the bedtime stalling tactics, by Thursday they're asking when she's coming back.
That's why we lock the same sitter for the whole trip — not because of operational simplicity, because the kids' week goes better.
Lead time
Lock the trip the same week the flight gets booked. A 4-evening recurring block needs the sitter's calendar clear in advance — same-week bookings sometimes work, two-week-out is safer.
