After-school care · Brooklyn

The 3pm to 6pm window. Handled.

The hardest hours of any working parent's week. School lets out, homework needs doing, dinner needs starting, and you're still on a Zoom. Becky or Shelly takes those three hours off your plate.

The afternoon, in order

School out to dinner on the table.

Pickup

Sitter walks to school for the 3pm dismissal. We get on the approved-pickup list before week one — clipboard at the front desk, names, photo, the whole thing.

Snack + decompress

Twenty minutes of not-school. Snack, talking about the day, putting the backpack somewhere it won't be tomorrow morning.

Homework

Both Becky and Shelly have tutored — Becky walked 25+ students through their schoolwork, Shelly worked elementary and middle school subjects. Reading, math, the worksheet that's due Friday — covered.

Play / outside

If the weather's good, the playground. If not, whatever's fun in the apartment that doesn't involve another screen.

Dinner

We'll start dinner if you leave instructions — heat what you prepped, cook simple meals, set the table. Dinner's on when you walk in from work.

How the schedule typically works

Two to five days a week. Same sitter every day.

Most after-school families lock 3 to 5 weekdays — same sitter, same hours, same routine. The kids stop asking who's coming today because it's the same person every day.

Two-day-a-week schedules also work — Tuesday and Thursday, or Monday-Wednesday-Friday. The shape of the week is yours; we just need it on the calendar in advance so the slot stays yours and doesn't get booked over.

Schools we've picked up from

We work across the deeper Brooklyn neighborhoods we serve — Bergen Beach, Mill Basin, Marine Park, Sheepshead Bay, Flatbush, Midwood and the surrounding blocks. If your school is in any of these areas, we're probably already familiar with the dismissal routine.

For schools outside that core: tell us the address. See full service area.
